Startup Grind Tirana marked a decade of commitment to entrepreneurship, innovation, and community! GrindX, the event commemorating the 10th anniversary, gathered founders, startups, visionaries, and professionals to reflect on a shared journey, celebrate success stories, and envision new chapters of growth and impact within Albania’s startup ecosystem. The celebration featured an evening of networking, two dynamic panel discussions, and inspiring moments that strengthened the vision for the future.
Since its establishment in 2014, Startup Grind Tirana has been at the forefront of transforming the Albanian ecosystem. By creating a space for knowledge-sharing and supporting new founders, the journey has brought forth innovative startups, critical investments, and a close-knit community of professionals driving collective development. With 10 years of experience and commitment, this anniversary was not just a retrospective celebration but a starting point for new adventures. GrindX bridged a successful past with a bold vision for the future.
The event also featured a live communication from the U.S. with Endri Mataj, the founder of Startup Grind Tirana. Mataj shared his experience of how the initiative began, the initial challenges, and the path towards building a community that has now become a key pillar of Albania’s startup ecosystem. His inspiring message highlighted how passion and collaboration have been the keys to success throughout this decade.

GrindX hosted two inspiring panels, giving participants the opportunity to learn from top experts in Albania’s ecosystem and benefit from their rich experiences.
Panel 1 – The Startups Panel
Moderated by Aneida Bajraktari Bicja, this panel brought forward professionals who have contributed to technological innovation and development in Albania:
- Jonilda Filipi, Head of Corporate Affairs at One Albania, emphasized the importance of corporate-startup collaboration to further develop the ecosystem. Her support was also instrumental in making this event a reality.
- Kushtrim Shala, Innovation Consultant and tech enthusiast, shared his vision of how innovation is key to building the future.
- Ardian Hoxha, entrepreneur and investor with international experience, discussed the lessons learned from his successes and challenges in regional and global markets.
- Arlind Haxhiaj, Founder and Managing Director of Coolab, highlighted how collaboration among different startup actors can generate long-term innovation and development.
Panel 2 – The Entrepreneurs Panel
Moderated by Gerti Boshnjaku, this panel focused on the successful journeys of Albanian entrepreneurs. Discussions were filled with inspiration as participants shared their experiences and strategies for overcoming challenges and growing their businesses:
- Vasil Naçi, CEO and President of Agna Group, known for his dedication to social entrepreneurship and economic development, recounted his successful journey over the years.
- Arbër Çepani, a dynamic entrepreneur and founder of multiple businesses, shared how he expanded his activities and made an impact in the local community.
- Silvana Kulla, Founder and CEO of Si-Mac Group, spoke about the challenges she faced as a female entrepreneur in a male-dominated industry and her vision for the future.
A special thanks went to Eva Çota, who inspired the younger attendees with creative and fun activities, nurturing their innovative and creative spirit.
No celebration would be complete without delicious food, and Adams Chips made the evening even more special with their high-quality products. Participants enjoyed great food while networking and exchanging ideas for future projects.
