Under the organization of UNI - Universum International College, empowered by Arizona State University, rectors from higher education institutions in Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia gathered for a special event to sign a memorandum of cooperation within the "100 Million Learners Global Initiative" by Thunderbird School of Global Management, ranked as the number one school in the world for a Master's in Global Management, and Arizona State University, ranked as the number one university in the USA for innovation.
This memorandum comes thanks to the partnership that UNI - Universum International College has with Arizona State University, where free subjects or modules with ECTS credits will be offered to students from partner universities for 140,000 students throughout the Balkan region in Albanian and English, fully recognized by Thunderbird School of Global Management.
This significant event brought together leaders of higher education from the three Western Balkan countries to share and reaffirm their commitment to this important global initiative for education. Women and young girls will constitute 70% of the beneficiaries that this initiative aims to reach. This global initiative offers various programs for three levels of education:
- Foundational program: Open to all levels of education.
- Intermediate program: Content for high school students or bachelor's level students.
- Advanced Courses: Content for bachelor's or master's level students.
The memorandum of cooperation will mark a significant step forward in improving access to higher education and empowering student communities in this important region of Europe. This is a historic moment that will help build a brighter future for our youth and students.
