Lushnja, the heart of Albanian agriculture, hosts one of the biggest events of the year: the “Agriculture Days” fair. This grand event, organized by Iceberg Exhibitions, has brought together the most important companies in the agricultural sector from Albania, as well as from countries such as Greece, Germany, the Netherlands, and more.

For three consecutive days, April 23, 24, and 25, the city transforms into a unique platform for collaboration, innovation, and development for everyone involved directly or indirectly in agriculture – from producers to companies in agricultural technology, machinery, and input supplies.

A Fair Beyond Borders

The participation of international companies signals that “Agriculture Days” has reached a whole new level. This fair is not just an exhibition of products or equipment, but a vibrant environment for discussions, exchange of experiences, and the creation of new partnerships. Various companies focused on agriculture – and this year, with an even greater focus on livestock – are coming from the Netherlands. Global leaders in modern livestock such as De Heus, MS Schippers, or pioneers in sustainable chemical fertilizers and biostimulants like Van Iperen, and others including Albalga, Foodbank, Holland Dairy Machines, Koppert, MSD Animal Health, and Trouw Nutrition are among the participants.

Agriculture as a National Priority

At a time when sustainable rural development and local production have gained strategic importance, the “Agriculture Days” fair serves as a key platform to bring agriculture into the spotlight. Discussions on innovation and digitalization aim to bring new momentum to this vital sector. Forums and panel discussions are organized by major partners such as GIZ Albania, involving the active participation of Albanian farmers and livestock breeders, as well as contributions from international experts, including the prominent Swiss expert Martina Schmidt.

For the fourth consecutive year, the fair receives support from the Risi Albania project, which brings together a panel of experts to discuss quality standards for fruits, vegetables, and medicinal plants, also focusing on traceability and the digitalization of production.

Meanwhile, the forum organized by FAO will focus on opportunities to increase productivity through sustainable agricultural practices.

Businesses Committed to Quality Content

One of the strongest indicators of the quality of the “Agriculture Days” fair is the continued return of supporting partners and exhibitors from edition to edition. Their engagement goes beyond simple participation, reflected in current themes with direct impact on the agricultural sector.

Agrimatco Albania, led by Prof. Dritan Sadikaj, this year will present a special session on the biological control of chemicals in greenhouse-grown vegetables – a critical topic for sustainable agriculture.

MBM Company, a leader in the agricultural input market, will hold a forum dedicated to the importance of inputs for the quality and sustainability of agricultural production.

Austria Praemix, returning for the fourth year, will showcase innovative technologies and products that impact yield growth and health management in Albanian cattle farms.

Greek expert Mr. Babis Mavridis will present the importance of agricultural mechanization as a key factor for increasing competitiveness, offering practical examples from well-known international brands such as New Holland, Case, Goldoni, and Lovol.

The financial aspect holds significant space at “Agriculture Days,” with banks and non-banking financial institutions as active participants in every edition, presenting products and concrete solutions tailored specifically for the agricultural sector.

Inspiring the Youth

The fair also aims to inspire the younger generation to see agriculture as a modern and profitable opportunity. With presentations of the latest technologies, success stories, and informational opportunities, “Agriculture Days” is a call to the future. Engaging young people with their land is essential for reviving the agricultural sector, preserving traditions and family heritage, and offering them the chance to invest their energy and dreams here in Albania, choosing a future at home over emigration.

“Agriculture Days” is not just an event – it is a movement that places Albanian agriculture at the heart of economic development and international cooperation.
