The first workshop of the C4Communities program was hosted at GIZ Albania, marking the beginning of an initiative aimed at empowering and supporting Albanian communities through collaboration and innovation. Supported by EU for Innovation, the European Union, German Cooperation Deutsche Zusammenarbeit, and the Swedish Embassy, this program seeks to build a sustainable ecosystem for the development of innovative ideas and projects. It fosters collaboration among individuals and groups working in technology, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
What is C4Communities?
C4Communities is a newly launched program consisting of workshops, activities, and training sessions designed to support the growth of Albanian communities. The initiative aims to create opportunities for collaboration, share best practices, and establish networks that enhance creativity and innovation. Participants will have the opportunity to develop strategies and improve their capacities to help build a stronger and more sustainable ecosystem.
The First Workshop: A Step Towards Collaboration
The February 4th workshop marked the first step in this program, setting the foundation for building strong collaborative relationships between different communities. The session included an orientation for participants and a comprehensive presentation of the program, outlining expectations and future goals. The workshop welcomed a diverse range of communities, including:

- Albanian Gaming Community

During the workshop, participants shared experiences, discussed challenges, and explored opportunities to collaborate and support each other in joint projects.
What’s Next?
The program will continue with a second workshop at the end of February, focusing on developing in-depth strategies and enhancing leadership capacities within the communities. The third workshop, scheduled for March, will center on advanced best practices and the concrete planning of activities to be carried out by participating communities. These activities are designed to strengthen inter-community connections and drive the development of a robust and sustainable innovation ecosystem.
