Making Innovation Happen in Albania!

The EIT Community Hub Albania continues to foster innovation in Albania by participating in “Future2Tech”, taking place on 02-03 October 2025 at the Palace of Congresses, in Tirana, Albania.

Within this event, the EIT Community Hub Albania will showcase its activities, highlight available opportunities and support, and further promote its role as a connector between Albania’s innovation ecosystem and the broader European landscape.

As part of the wider European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) network, the EIT Community Hub in Albania is designed to connect local innovators, startups, researchers, and institutions with the broader European innovation ecosystem. Its mission is to support Albania’s digital transformation, strengthen entrepreneurship, and foster cross-border collaboration to boost innovation.

Through its presence at Future2Tech, the EIT Community Hub Albania will engage directly with exhibitors and visitors to showcase its role, tailored support, and how local actors can benefit from the opportunities of the EIT and KICs. This includes access to European-level programmes in digital innovation, entrepreneurial education, and venture development.

The Hub’s participation highlights a commitment to building stronger links between Albania and Europe’s innovation networks. By providing information, sharing opportunities, and facilitating dialogue, the EIT Community Hub Albania aims to strengthen Albania’s position in the regional and European digital economy.

What is the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (EIT RIS)? 

The EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (EIT RIS) was launched in 2014 to enhance innovation performance in countries with ‘emerging’ or ‘modest’ innovation scores according to the European Innovation Scoreboard. The RIS is managed by the EIT and implemented through the KICs.
