With the launch of Elevator Lab accelerator program in June 2017, Raiffeisen Bank has been seeking to leverage as much as possible the agility and the speed of Fintechs by utilizing it to scale within its structure, trust, financial experience, and database of the customers. There is no competition but a win - win situation and successful partnerships, at the end all these to bring the customers one step forward to digitalization and innovation and ease their financial experience.

This year Elevator Lab challenge is even bigger, since it will give the possibility to all startups and Fintechs to expose their products and services to five Raiffeisen Banks in different countries of the region. It is a great opportunity to start a pilot project with one of these banks and of course win initially a prize of EUR 5,000 and the regional prize of additional EUR 10,000.

The challenge itself requires to register in the fintech database Fintech Database and also prepare a presentation to pitch in three minutes, so it really doesn’t take so much time, but can give the applicants a higher return in networking, prize winning and exposing their brand in one of the biggest banks in Austria and region.

In way to further promote and inform the ecosystem about the challenge, the prizes, the opportunities, and benefits related to the Innovation Team of Raiffeisen Bank Albania together with Gerti Boshnjaku as local partner in this journey invited and gathered in Destil Creative Hub a lot of entrepreneurs. Networking is the key to success; you start doing things, but you need the right people that know people that can help you grow. Everyone joining the event was interested to know more or even to share more on what they’re doing and how can they approach Elevator Lab Challenge and in which category their solution would fit best.

This year’s challenge has a total new category, and it is ESG Solution. Raiffeisen Bank International is a signatory of Responsible Banking principles, which contribute to the country's sustainable and long-term economic development considering all key social and environmental aspects. So, startups that have solutions that would fit with ESG topics and would bring more awareness to the bank and its customers about their choices and impact they’re having in each choice they make would be perfect to apply in this year’s ESG category.
