Eva Buzo has successfully completed her 35-hour and 17-minute swim across the 92 km distance from the coast of Lecce, Italy, to the Karaburun Peninsula in Albania. She touched Albanian soil at one of the bays in Karaburun, near Cape Gjuz.
The Albanian lawyer, who lives in Australia, took very few breaks to drink water and the journey is considered to have been continuous, with no issues reported during the swim. At the moment of arrival, Eva was unable to speak due to salt calcification on her mouth. However, it is reported that her condition is very good. Eva Buzo has completed her journey, which she had left unfinished last year, demonstrating extraordinary physical and psychological strength.
