It is with great pleasure that, we extend this invitation to participate in an impactful event as part of the continuation of Global Money Week (GMW). This initiative, undertaken in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth of Albania, Visa and Aflatoun International, aims to promote financial education and inclusion of young people and adults. We are delighted to invite you to participate in an exciting event that will take place in TUMO Pyramid in Tirana on the 12th of April, with an additional workshop on the 13th of April 2024.

This year’s GMW theme, “Protect your money, secure your future,” emphasizes the importance of financial literacy and responsible financial behaviour that lies in the core of the common efforts of all stakeholders.

During GMW (March – April 2024), Aflatoun International is organising a series of hybrid and online events in 4 different regions of the world, to enable young people and stakeholders to discuss, learn and exchange ideas about money matters and how to protect and secure their money and their future.

The event in Tirana will be a part of this exceptional global experience and will enable stakeholders such as governmental and non-governmental institutions, private sector actors and youth to showcase best practices and success stories in financial education and youth inclusion in the digital economy. We aim to highlight the impact of different stakeholders working together locally and globally to advance quality education and achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

On the 12th of April at the TUMO Pyramid from 9.30am to 4:00pm, stakeholders will come together for a GMW event where youth representatives and key stakeholders from government, NGOs and private sector will discuss and address themes linked to financial inclusion for young people, including topics such as cybersecurity, and tools and best practices. The event will be partially streamed (hybrid) – thanks to the Aflatoun Partner’s platform: Global Money Week 2024 (mn.co)

The second day on April the 13th will zoom into the importance of integrating social and financial literacy competencies into the educational standards of Western Balkan countries. Stakeholders from government and non-governmental institutions and the private sector will exchange knowledge and experiences in the field of social and financial education and engage in an active discussion towards meaningful inclusion of core social and financial skills into national education systems, to empower children and youth with necessary XXI century skills.
