On the 6th of November, the managing organization for the hub, University of Business & Technology, is conducting an Innovation and Technology Festival supported by the EU for Innovation. The main aim of this festival is to spread awareness on the importance that information communications technology poses and to bring together the various stakeholders to discuss joint cooperation and pave the way forward. 

The main aim of this festival is to spread awareness of the importance that information communications technology has in the era we live in today. Its focus relies on showing how ICT has the power to transform society as it enables financial inclusion and allows people to connect with millions instantaneously. Moreover, it aims to present the impact of ICT on business which is particularly significant as it empowers people to share knowledge and advice by setting up an online shop or website at a low cost, dramatically lowering the barriers to starting a business. As such, it is an important enabler of change and it is closely linked to economic growth. Great emphasis will be put on including the youth to take part in this festival by creating different workshops which will enable them to compete as well as win awards for their ICT projects.
