SME Week Youth Start-Up Competition 2024

The European Union Youth Start-up Competition 2024 is an incredible chance for young entrepreneurs to shape their future. If you have a visionary idea that addresses global challenges and promotes sustainability while adhering to EU values, this is the competition for you. Held from November 18-20, 2024, in Budapest, Hungary, this competition offers participants the opportunity to pitch their innovative ideas, connect with industry professionals, and meet potential investors.

Young entrepreneurs will benefit from various workshops, networking opportunities, and panel discussions, gaining valuable insights and exposure.

To apply, you must be aged 18-25, and submit a 3-minute video outlining your start-up idea.

To be eligible for the YSC, you must be between 18 and 25 years old and submit a video of no more than 3 minutes explaining your start-up idea, its relevance, and your business plan. The video should be submitted in English.
The winner of the YSC will be chosen by a jury based on three essential criteria: creativity, visibility, and communications. The three shortlisted candidates will be announced online and invited to the SME Assembly in Budapest, Hungary, which is taking place on 18-20 November 2024.

What are we looking for?
Start-up ideas that promote sustainability and reflect EU values. Originality, uniqueness, and the potential to generate public interest and media attention are also key criteria for selection.
