State Authority for Geospatial Information – ASIG

We have cause to look back and be proud of what the State Authority for Geospatial Information (ASIG) has accomplished thus far ten years after its founding.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of ASIG and National GIS Day, we cordially invite you to join our organizations as we reflect on our achievements, future goals, and ASIG’s future vision for the growth of NSDI and the provision of innovative products utilizing smart technology and artificial intelligence.
In order to increase awareness among young people and pique their interest in the services offered by ASIG National Geoportal and various geoinformation tools, during these three days will be presented to high school students in Tirana, its basic functions and services, and the presentation of various GIS and QGIS tutorials.
The opening of an exhibition with old maps, orthophotos, land cover, etc. will be held, as well as familiarization with the history of cartography legislation over the years.
Holding open lectures in a range of university auditoriums with the goal of focusing their curricula more and more on the field of geoinformation and supplying the labour market with qualified workers on geoinformation business.
Let’s spread together the enthusiasm for GIS, mapping, having a strong National Spatial Data Infrastructure and the sense of place that geolocation gives us.
