The 7th annual regional e-commerce conference in Macedonia announced
November 12 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm UTC+1
“E-commerce: Untangling Potential” is the slogan of the seventh annual e-commerce conference that will take place on November 12th at the National Opera and Ballet in Skopje. For the third consecutive year, this conference will have a regional focus. The event is organized by the Macedonian E-commerce Association (AETM).
This year, the conference will focus on aspects of e-commerce where potential has already been realized, as well as those that still require effort for full optimization. Topics will include delivery and logistics, new e-payment opportunities, data-driven and AI-powered e-commerce marketing, and cross-border and international business growth in e-commerce.
The organizers promise a high-quality program featuring prominent regional and international speakers. During the conference, key insights from the analysis of e-commerce in the Western Balkans will be presented.
AETM is preparing the 6th edition of its e-commerce analysis for 2024, which will offer insights into the progress and challenges of e-commerce in the region. Previous editions have shown that while e-commerce is experiencing significant growth, the Western Balkans still lags behind more developed markets. However, the countries of the region, collectively, have the potential to create a larger market and accelerate their growth. This year’s analysis will particularly focus on cross-border trade and challenges in payment and logistics, which are crucial for the efficient functioning of the e-commerce ecosystem. Addressing these challenges is essential for opening new opportunities for a larger regional market and further advancement.
“The E-commerce Conference has grown into a recognized regional event, attracting over 600 participants each year with relevant and timely topics. This year’s theme, ‘E-commerce: Untangling Potential,’ reflects the complexity of the e-commerce ecosystem and the need to better leverage the opportunities it offers. Regional expansion, the emergence of new solutions and players, and international market entries show that there is significant interest and potential for further growth. This year, we will discuss how much of that potential has already been ‘untangled,’ in which aspects the challenges remain, and what needs to be done for faster growth and progress.” said Nina Angelovska-Stankov, President of AETM.
Last year, the conference was held in its largest regional format to date, with over 600 participants from 150 companies, organizations, universities, and government institutions from the region and with keynote presentations from more than 30 speakers from 10 different countries.
