The TRUSTCHAIN Hackathon is now open for applications!

Taking place online from 17 to 25 November 2025, this pan-European event invites developers, startups, researchers, and SMEs to build innovative digital solutions that champion privacy, sustainability, interoperability, and trust in the next-generation internet.

Organised under the umbrella of the NGI TrustChain project, the hackathon aims to amplify the impact of TRUSTCHAIN-funded technologies by encouraging new and existing teams to co-create tools that tackle real-world challenges through decentralized, human-centric innovation.

HACKATHON OVERVIEW The TRUSTCHAIN Hackathon brings together forward-thinking minds to develop interoperable, scalable, and ethical digital applications. Participants will work with the existing TRUSTCHAIN technology ecosystem, reimagining what a sustainable and trustworthy internet can look like. Solutions should address one or more key themes, including:

● Digital Identity & Privacy

● Interoperability & Integration

● Sustainability, Inclusivity & Transparency

● Decentralized Marketplaces & Incentives

● Web3 & Gaming

TRACKS & PRIZES The hackathon features two competitive tracks:

● Track 1: Internal – For existing TRUSTCHAIN teams

● Track 2: External – Open to new applicants Prize Structure (per track):

● 1st Place – €3,000

● 2nd Place – €2,000

● 3rd Place – €1,000
