Huawei Concludes its ‘Seeds for Future’ Program in Albania for the

Third Consecutive Year

Bringing valuable support to young talents in the field of ICT, the program makes its third return to the country.

Huawei, in collaboration with the Faculty of Information Technology, recently concluded the third journey of the "Seeds for the Future" international program in Albania. During an event hosted at the premises of the Polytechnic University of Tirana, company directors, professors, and students came together to conclude the innovative program, aimed at
fostering educational and professional growth, brought the expertise of the global technology giant to Albanian students.

Recognizing the pivotal role education plays in society, the "Seeds for Future" program is designed to create opportunities that support young individuals in their pursuit of a career in the field of information technology. By equipping these students with the essential technological skills, the program enhances their competitiveness in the job market.

Head of Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Aleksander Biberaj, from the Faculty of Information Technology, noted, "We are delighted to share our positive collaboration with Huawei. Through numerous meetings and various programs, our students have expressed immense satisfaction and joy regarding the valuable experience and knowledge gained from the intensive and innovative initiatives offered by this high- tech giant.”

Mr. Seven Wupeng, the Executive Director of Huawei in Albania emphasized:

“The elite ICT talent program “Seeds for the Future” selects gifted students to gain first- hand insights into the work of a multinational ICT company, receiving cross-cultural work experience as well as language training. Since 2008 the Seeds for the Future program has had participants from 126 countries and regions all over the world.”

Present at the event was also Mrs. Ermelinda Durmishi, Director in the Directorate of Higher Education Policies and Scientific Research. In her address, she emphasized, "As a representative of the Directorate of Higher Education Policies and Scientific Research, I take great satisfaction in the role of programs like these in enhancing students' training across diverse technological fields. This aligns seamlessly with our institution's overarching goal of preparing students in the field of information technology. We extend our gratitude to Huawei for this commendable initiative, now in its third consecutive year."

The program spanned 8 days, during which selected students participated in online courses led by industry professionals. Upon completion of the program, they received certificates to validate the knowledge they acquired.

"Seeds for Future" was initially introduced in 2008 to nurture ICT talents globally by fostering cross-cultural communication and collaboration. Currently, the program spans across 130 countries and regions, benefiting approximately 9,000 students with valuable knowledge. Since 2021, the program has extended its reach to Albania, sharing the expertise and experiences of the global business environment. Huawei in Albania remains committed to bringing the latest cutting-edge technology practices to the students in our country.
