The Innovation Hub, the largest technology and innovation hub in Tirana, has recently opened its doors at the iconic Pyramid in the heart of the capital. Like many investments by the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF), this hub—comprising a co-working space and an accelerator—is part of the broader ambition to transform Tirana into the capital of innovation and technology, placing it on the global innovation map.
Since the day it opened, the Innovation Hub, with its two core spaces—the shared work environment for innovators and startups, and the Plug and Play acceleration program—has attracted some of the brightest minds in programming and innovation in Tirana. In a short period of time, it has hosted numerous exciting projects and collaborations, including with ProTik, the Hellenic Business Association in Albania, the NomadTech program, and events like JunctionxTirana and Women in Tech. The Innovation Hub has quickly become a stimulating environment where many startups, especially youth-led ones, not only showcase their work but also gain visibility and support. One of its strongest features, as initially promised, is the networking and connection opportunities it offers.

Innovation and technology projects at the Pyramid of Tirana have significantly increased over the past year, perfectly aligning with the mission of this transformed urban space. As anticipated during its conception, the Innovation Hub has rapidly become a “HUBitat” for a diverse range of “species”—from “migratory birds,” or adventurous digital nomads, to the “lions” of bold entrepreneurship. Startups, businesses, and digital nomads are all finding a place in this thriving ecosystem, which continues to flourish at the Pyramid thanks to competitive pricing and access to countless opportunities.
This project by the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF) aims to support the private sector in Albania, particularly tech and innovation ventures, and to strengthen the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
