After more than three months since the opening of the acceleration program, the regional startup accelerator Uplift Western Balkans will close its fourth edition on November 21, 2022 on the final Demo Day.
Of 60 startups and 79 founders who applied to be part of this edition, only 10 of them were accepted into the acceleration program after successfully passing the evaluation phase of Selection Bootcamp and were mentored by Albanian experts and foreigners, investors, and entrepreneurs.
Kanah.al, Codon, Eco Solution Research, FleetON, ConsciESG, Recro Thrift Store, Be My Safety by Alcoders, Knowledge Bits, MaitriVR, and Mirjana Josifoska come from a wide range of industries such as e-commerce, cloud, design, fintech, agritech, data science, health technology, and renewable energy.
For the second year in a row, Uplift Western Balkans takes on the dimensions of a regional startup accelerator and is being organized in Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia thanks to the close partnership between ICTSlab, VentureUP and ICANN.
Founded in 2019 in Albania, the Uplift startup accelerator came to its fourth edition with the support of the Ministry of State for Entrepreneurship Protection in Albania and is organized within the "Stand" Project funded by the Italian Government and implemented by UNICEF.
On November 21 at 17:30 on the premises of the Artistic Lyceum, "Tonin Harapi" Hall, the closing ceremony of the three-month journey of the startups will be held.

Demo-Day agenda
The event kicks off at 16:30 with a closed event between startups and investors called Investor Connect. All startups will have the opportunity to meet with each of the investors who will physically participate in the Demo Day for 7 minutes.
Demo-Day will be open to the public at 17:30 where over 200 participants will closely follow the startup presentations of this edition.
The evening will end at 20:30 with the announcement of the winners of the big prizes as well as the awards for the other startups.
10 startups will present on the Demo-Day stage in front of the jury and VC investors, Donors, and business angels from the Region and Central Europe.

Uplift Western Balkans Fourth Edition
On September 16, Uplift Western Balkans started the acceleration program with the first workshop. During the three months, the startups were mentored by Albanian and foreign experts, from the region and Europe who came from various industries and fields such as entrepreneurship, investments, startups, leadership, marketing, social media, online communication, branding, etc.
The workshops were moderated by Peter Brunner, Jewell Sparks, Admir Berbiu, Eneid Lika, Kushtrim Xhakli, Kotryna Kurt, Reita Hackaj, and Henrik Lezi.
On October 19-24, Uplift Western Balkans startups traveled to Slovakia on a study trip organized by ICTSmedia in Albania and SOVVA in Slovakia within the Bridge2EU program to get to know the Slovakian ecosystem of startups and innovation.
