Automation Industries Albania is an Albanian startup offering a vast range of automation and processing technologies, including controllers, drive products, power distribution and control products, electrical discharge machines, electron beam machines, laser processing machines, computerized numerical controllers, and industrial robots. Mitsubishi Electric is their partner in bringing higher productivity—and quality—to the factory floor.
How did the idea of building Automation Industries Albania come about?
Researching the market needs, we discovered that our products were missing and the market had needs for them. We started researching how we could get the first investment in order to start and the safest and shortest way was through a bank loan. Start not from 0, but from a debt, made us drift our wheels and in a short period of time we managed to get released from the loan.
What is your mission? What is the problem that you are giving a solution to?
Our mission is to raise the living standards of the citizens through biotechnology solutions and automation. The problems that we are giving a solution are several, like food safety, repairing heavy industry machinery, improving safety and security measurements of industrial production lines, automating old and new industrial processes that had low efficiency in the past, replacing human labor with robotic labor in order to minimize accidents in work, etc.
What is innovative about your startup?
We are the first company that brought a product about food safety that didn't exist in the Albanian market and the first company that offers robotic arms for the industry.
What is difficult about being a startup in Albania, especially in your industry? Has it been easy or difficult to make up the team to work on the project?
Every day is a challenge for a startup in Albania, which starts from the custom clearance procedures to the payment of taxes. Employing the right people, and being able to maintain them is the hardest task.
How have the customers reacted to the product/service?
Proud of the products and services that we offer, we haven’t had any unpleasant clients until now.
Who is your core target audience? How are you trying to reach them?
Our core targets are families, grocery shops, and factories. We are using all kinds of marketing and PR that we can.
What are your future plans?
Expand the business and be more visible to the market.
