What was discussed in the first EU4Innovation Project Steering Committee Meeting

The first EU4Innovation Project Steering Committee Meeting was held yesterday at the premises of the Ministry of Finance and Economy. Representatives from the EU Delegation in Albania, the German and Swedish Embassies in Tirana, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate, GIZ in Albania and EU4Innovation, were present and active during this meeting.

Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy, Endrit Yzeiraj showed enthusiasm for the activities of the Action including the Challenge Fund as tools that support the Albanian innovation ecosystem.

Ms. Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate, stated that to have a higher impact, it is crucial to continue working together for a common Action with common objectives. MoSEBC will continue to support start-ups of all stages in Albania with more funds.

Mr. Hubert Perr, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation in Albania showed appreciation for the ongoing cooperation between the EU and the government of Albania. He shared that on this second phase of the project more Action is needed on scaling up as a support for Albanian start-ups.
