AECA announces a new Public Call for digital skills growth and opening new e-stores

“Digitally Fit for E-Commerce“

Tirana, 16.10.2023 - The Albanian E-Commerce Association - AECA, within the project "Digitally Fit for E-Commerce", announces a public call for participation in the program dedicated to support micro, small and medium sized enterprises and registered individual producers coming from the following three value chains:

  • Agriculture and ag processing: Fresh and processed fruit and vegetables
  • Light manufacturing - Apparel and textiles; Wood processing and furniture production
  • Inbound tourism for the following types of tourism: ecotourism, rural tourism, and adventure tourism.

The "Digitally Fit  for E-Commerce" project, supported by the USAID Economic Development, Governance and Enterprise Growth Project (EDGE), and implemented in cooperation with the Macedonian E-Commerce Association - AETM, aims to improve the digital skills of a total of 60 selected participants from both countries coming from the above mentioned value chains, and help them open an additional sales channel, by connecting them with the local e-commerce web platforms.

The selected applicants will have an opportunity to participate in three educational training sessions with physical attendance, designed with tailor-made approach and customized to their specific needs. After successful completion of the training sessions, the participants will have the opportunity to be connected with the local e-commerce web platforms and start selling their products and services online through opening an e-shop.

The application of the program is free and online through the following website https://ecommerce.mk/en/public-call/ , and it is open until Tuesday, October 24, 2023, 23:59. The participants will be selected by a committee composed of three e-commerce experts. Each application will be evaluated individually.

This initiative helps the selected applicants to boost their digital presence and to strengthen their knowledge, skills and competencies needed to thrive in the digital era.

Through this program, AECA reaffirms the intensive commitment to the growth of e-commerce in Albania, through close cooperation with the local businesses, helping them acquire high quality education, establish a strong online presence and exchange best e-commerce practices, all aiming to increase their revenues and maximize their growth potential.
