Albania became the center of economic cooperation with the Middle East this week, with a forum organized by AIDA. The delegation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), headed by the Minister of Foreign Trade, H.E. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, included representatives of elite companies and brought clear messages for the increase of investments and trade exchanges.
The delegation was welcomed at the business forum by important representatives of the government and public institutions, with the presence of Mr. Sokol Duma, Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation and Ms. Laura Plaku, Executive Director of AIDA.
Arab investments in Albania have reached 52 million euros by mid-2024, with an increase of 280% in 2023 alone. The trade volume between the two countries has reached 43 million euros, with Albanian exports increasing by 45.5%.
The event included strategic discussions and B2B talks between companies in fields such as energy, technology and construction, laying the foundations for new projects. Among the participants of the delegation from the UAE were companies such as Masdar, JAFZA, ADNOC Global Trading, Kumo Industries and Oumolat.
The forum confirmed Albania as an attractive destination for investment and a bridge to European markets, paving the way for new cooperation and a sustainable economic partnership.
