MoneyCoach, the application of the young Albanian man Perjan Duro, is part of all new iPhones and Apple stores in Germany.
There are many young people whose applications are being evaluated and are being commercialized, but let us explain. There are about 2 million applications in the App Store. The peculiarity of MoneyCoach, in this case, is that Apple has chosen it as one of the best personal finance applications and has positioned it as a premiere application to be presented on iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. So if you go to one of the Apple stores in Germany or some other places to see the new line of iPhones, MoneyCash will be there, installed and ready for you to test. Perjan Duro says, “This is an extraordinary achievement for us. "We have created a tool, a medium, that has helped users learn more about their money, spending habits and helped them save more money than usual."
He points out that Apple's inclusion and favoritism in their stores do not all end here. This is just one his achievements. Perjan and his staff feel more motivated to go beyond what they have done, to push for more updates that contain mitigation options.
Following Apple's decision to evaluate this app, this is what Perjan Duro shared in an interview about MoneyCoach.
MoneyCoach is one of your ventures. How did this idea come about and how did it develop?
MoneyCoach was born as an idea 5 years ago, exactly at the time when I left Albania. More and more I was feeling the need for an application that would help me keep all my finances in control. Before starting the applications development, I searched on App Store for such an app, which would meet all the requirements and conditions I had. After many trials with over 50 different applications, it was impossible to find the application I wanted. This way, I decided to conceive, design, and program by myself the application I needed to solve my problems. After several months of intensive work, I released the first version of MoneyCoach in the App Store. The positive feedback was immediate. Since the APP can be downloaded for free in the App Store, the positive feedback and numerous downloads were the main impetus to maintain it.
What do you think is the reason that Apple has rated you better than most of the other apps?
MoneyCoach as a company is indeed doing well not only in Germany but also in other markets such as Italy, the United States, and China. It is worth mentioning that Apple has recently installed MoneyCoach on all iPhones in every Apple Store in Germany, as one of the best iOS platform apps. If you are in Germany and visit an Apple store, you will find MoneyCoach there. It is a great privilege to be selected from more than 2,100,000 applications, considering that MoneyCoach is being developed by a very talented small team.
It is a pleasure to work with them. The app is available worldwide and translated into more than 11 languages, without question in Albanian too. Anyone with an iOS device can download the app and use it to manage personal finances. There are several reasons why the app has been rated by Apple several times, being on the front page of the App Store worldwide:
1 - Consistency and number of updates to the application constantly
Almost every 10 days there is an updated version, with new features, bug fixes, design changes, etc.
2 - App Quality
New technologies and innovations are used to make the most of the iOS platform. For example, by integrating NLP (Natural Language Processing) into the App, the user can add a simple transaction by typing in a chat interface some simple details, such as value, currency, and category. Next, the App can distinguish the category, currency, value and create the corresponding transaction. It is like communicating with a friend and telling him that you have wasted 5,000 Lekë for cocktails this weekend. Unlike your friend, MoneyCoach remembers your story and suggests opportunities to improve your finances.
What is MoneyCoach? Can it be used in other markets, including Albania?
MoneyCoach is an application that helps you manage personal finances in a very simple and intuitive way. MoneyCoach can be used in any market, including Albania. The app supports more than 162 types of currencies, with exchange rates that are updated every 10 seconds. So, any person in Albania can use it. One of the main advantages of "MoneyCoach" is that you can register different accounts in different currencies, e.g. Euros, Dollars, British Pounds, Lek, etc. and finally you can look at your wealth, converted in real-time to your main currency. In this way, it is many times clearer than to say that you have X Euro, Y Lek, Z Dollars. Another strong feature of MoneyCoach is the fact that it allows you to manage the money you have at home, in your pocket, under the mattress, you owed, etc., etc.
Just create a "virtual account" and list all the income or expenses in them. MoneyCoach has users from all over the world, as it supports any type of date format or different calendars.
We also have users from Thailand, where the current year is 2561 according to the Buddhist calendar. If "MoneyCoach" did not support this, it would show you the current year, which for the Thais was 500 and something years ago. This and many other features make "MoneyCoach" usable worldwide.
What are your future projects?
We are currently working on new MoneyCoach features as well as bringing "MoneyCoach" to Android. Another project we are finishing is an app that helps couples to manage their finances together. The main goal is to promote communication in the couple on a topic, which is considered by many to be taboo, not only in Albania. This will serve to help young couples and families realize big dreams and plans in life, being more aware of their income and the way they manage it.
