The winner of multiple "Brit Awards" and "Grammy" awards, the Albanian artist, Dua Lipa seems to have established a special connection with Tirana after her visit. In addition to the rebuilt kindergarten that will bear the name of her foundation "Sunny Hill", the world-famous artist has announced a music project in Tirana next year. She visited Tirana accompanied by her parents, Dukagjin and Anesa Lipa, sister Rina and brother Gjini, as well as by her fiancé, Anwar Hadid. Lipa met with the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj and Prime Minister Edi Rama.

In the meeting held in the premises of the Municipality, Veliaj thanked the 25-year-old singer for her help in the reconstruction of Kindergarten 42, which was damaged by the earthquake two years ago. Symbolically, he gave Lipa a personalized license plate "Dua 100 TR", which he humorously said was "an easier way to go through every checkpoint and traffic light". Also, the singer herself announced on her social media account that "Sunny Hill Kindergarten" will open in September. She praised the visit to Tirana to see closely the construction works of this garden.

-"It is an honor to be in Tirana - Albania today and to see the works for "Sunny Hill Kindergarten" in the city center. After the earthquake in 2019 and with the help of all of you who bought our ‘Pray for Albania’ t-shirts that I created with my friends, I doubled the funds we raised and that money will go to furnishing this whole kindergarten for 300 children. I am grateful to be here today with my family and friends. Thank you to the Prime Minister and Mayor for all the help during this process. The opening of the garden will take place on September 15, 2021. Thank you, Albania. ”

Meanwhile, Dua Lipa's plans for organizing the Sunny Hill Festival in Albania remain unknown. The purpose of this festival is to raise money for the Sunny Hill Foundation.
