From tourism to artificial intelligence: Here are the 83 winning startups of Grant2025

The winners of the Grant2025 scheme, one of the most important initiatives aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the country, have been officially announced. From a total of 422 applications received from all cities in Albania, 83 startups have been selected to receive funding to further develop their innovative projects. The total fund of 300 million ALL aims to create a more favorable environment for the development of new enterprises and to strengthen the innovation ecosystem in the country.

Grant2025 is structured to support startups at three different stages of their development. The winners are divided into the following phases:

Phase One – Support for Initial Ideas:

19 startups that are still in the idea phase have been selected. They will receive up to 1.5 million ALL to lay the foundations of their enterprises and to turn their innovative ideas into reality.

Phase Two – Prototype Development and Market Validation:

43 startups with a well-defined product or service and a created prototype will receive up to 4.5 million ALL. This funding aims to help them advance product development and secure initial market access.

Phase Three – Market Expansion:

21 startups that already have a product in the market and are looking to expand their operations will benefit from up to 9 million ALL. This support aims at sustainable growth and entry into new markets.


Distribution by Sector

The 83 winning startups are significantly distributed across several strategic sectors, reflecting national priorities and global trends in the field of innovation. Specifically:

  • 22 projects are in the Information Technology sector.
  • 10 startups operate in Business Services, providing solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business performance.
  • 9 projects are focused on Tourism, a sector with high potential for sustainable economic growth and promoting Albania as an international destination.
  • 8 startups focus on EduTech, aiming to modernize the way we learn and teach others.
  • 7 projects are in the Manufacturing sector, an area with a direct impact on increasing national production capacity.
  • 6 startups have brought innovative solutions in Healthcare through technology, addressing a critical sector for social well-being.
  • 5 projects are developed in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and E-commerce, demonstrating alignment with the latest global trends.
  • 4 startups operate in the fields of Marketing and Media, introducing new ideas for digital communication and interaction.
  • 2 projects focus on Energy and Environment, bringing sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives.
  • 1 project each was selected in the sectors of Cybersecurity, Logistics, and Sports Technology.

Grant2025 is proving to be a key initiative for nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship across a diverse range of industries in Albania. The selected startups now have the opportunity to develop their ideas, products, and services to create a stronger and more dynamic innovation ecosystem in the country.
