50 startups, both domestic and international, led by individuals and teams led by women, will be able to consolidate their product and take a step forward towards the international market.
10 selected startups will be showcased at the final event of the Women Startup Competition Albania 2024 in June, in Tirana. As part of the European network of the Women Startup Competition, local startups will automatically be part of this network upon their registration for presentation, in front of potential entrepreneurs and donors.
For the second year, the Women Startup Competition in Tirana is supported by BERZH Council for Small Businesses, funded by the EU – Western Balkans Enterprise Development & Innovation Facility (EDIF).
Last year, 30 startups from young Albanians living in Albania, Germany, and Italy participated in the program. The cybersecurity startup Cyber Morfosis was declared the winner, participating in the European WSC contest held in Vienna.

Who is WSC?
Women Startup Competition is a perennial global competition of women-led startups. It was established to provide entrepreneurial women and their teams with opportunities to meet investors, receive support, and advice to achieve their business goals. The competition aims to increase the currently very low ratio of women in business compared to men.
Women Startup Competition was founded in 2012 in Budapest, Hungary. Since then, the movement has flourished and grown continuously, attracting creative entrepreneurial women who, through the program, have accelerated on the business highway. WSC is present in 12 European countries, also offering a series of training and competitions.
The goal of the Women Startup Competition is to increase the presence of women in business and to do this, WSC offers training and opportunities for startups to realize their dreams and encourages them to do what they love. The series of WSC contests increases the number of innovative enterprises, most of which are founded by women. WSC works to improve the knowledge of entrepreneurial women, to encourage and assist them, and to connect them with major corporate innovation hubs, entrepreneurial investors, angel investors, and other potential partners.
