Tirana yesterday hosted one of the most significant business events of the year – Match Maker Albania 2025. Organized by the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, the event brought together key stakeholders from across the global business and investment community. The aim was clear: to provide a strategic platform for fostering new partnerships, encouraging foreign direct investment, and facilitating market expansion.

The opening remarks were delivered by Laura Saro, Executive Director of AIDA, Prime Minister Edi Rama, and Minister Blendi Gonxhja, who set the tone for a day filled with insights, networking, and opportunity. The agenda featured high-level panels discussing strategies for investing in Albania and advancing the “Made in Albania” brand across regional and international markets.

“We are signing five Memorandums of Understanding with counterpart agencies today. This event is designed to elevate Albania’s position as a credible and attractive investment destination. Our goal is to showcase to the world that Albania is not only rich in natural resources but also a welcoming and competitive environment for doing business,” stated Laura Saro, Executive Director of AIDA.

In his address, Prime Minister Rama extended a strong invitation to the more than 1,000 participants from 37 countries in attendance, highlighting Albania’s untapped potential and future promise.

“Now is the time to invest—even if it’s just a small stake in Albania—because tomorrow may be too late. Soon, everyone will want to enter this market, and it will be far more competitive and costly. Whatever your ambitions—make your move now. Albania is on the cusp of a major transformation, and its full potential is only just beginning to be realized,” emphasized Rama.

For Albanian businesses, Match Maker Albania 2025 represents a gateway to global growth. It marks a pivotal moment for increasing Albania’s visibility on the international stage and strengthening the country’s export capabilities.
