Today, there are numerous companies for online services in Albania and certainly worldwide, due to increasing demands thanks to the development of digital technology. But this doesn't mean that there isn't room for Albanian minds in the foreign market. It seems this has happened with the young Albanian, Hudi Shehu, who now works between Tirana and London, effectively coordinating the services he offers. In an interview with Radio Ejani, Hudi Shehu discusses his relationship with technology and his achievements in this field both within and outside the country.
How were your beginnings with technology?
Thank you for the opportunity to share more about myself, someone passionate about technology since the age of 6. I can say that at that age, my first studies were in technology, and later, through family businesses, I learned about business. I completed my studies in Business Informatics and MSc in Business Information Systems. Certainly, studies were important, but my greatest knowledge came when I was part of the family business in the textile industry and later in the company Postjer Group.
It seems the clues started in the family.
Given that I was involved in business before starting my studies; during the final year of my studies, I founded the company Postjer. Initially, it started as a platform for the community's benefit, then shifted towards offering services and assistance to this large community with the services we would offer. I believe people are always learning from their daily experiences or the choices they make in business. I am someone who spends most of my time reading the latest news in technology and startups.
How was your company conceptualized?
I initially conceptualized Postjer Agency in 2022 when I noticed what was missing in the market from my perspective and vision. Working with small businesses in the UK, offering only web services, and based on various assessments from clients, we started to expand our services, becoming a complete digital agency and being a key link for any business wishing to offer services through an online presence. Postjer Agency is part of Postjer Group and has won numerous awards since 2022 in the field of Marketing and Technology.
A young man who divides his life between Albania and London, with a clear understanding to collaborate with international companies. It seems we're dealing not only with talent but also with courage.
My first collaborations were with international companies mainly in London and Berlin. I can't say without fear, but there has always been a risk I took without knowing the market well, only some segments of it. But this has turned into a positive as I gained more experience and confidence from the clients or partners I interacted with every day. Postjer Group has been and continues to be a reliable company, trusted by every partner we work with, having only one focus, a long-term journey with every partnership or client.
Tell us about your collaboration with foreigners and the implementation of your work.
From the experience gained, I think things become clearer, but not simpler. Each project has its difficulties due to technical specifications, sometimes overly complex, but with the help of the implementation team, it always becomes accurate, and we stay within the safety conditions for the implementations we carry out in every business. Postjer Group has counted more than 30 partners and 30 clients in 2023. More of these businesses are foreign, because some services are costly for Albanian businesses. Foreigners have always shown interest in working with our company, and all the methodology of work processes we use, as well as each project, has been delivered on time according to the forecasts and specific requirements of the businesses.
Our country is evolving day by day in this direction, but Albanian companies have not yet realized the importance of digital services as much as foreigners.
According to me, Albania is a country that is developing more and more every day. Many young entrepreneurs are developing, producing, and ideas that will certainly bring change to Albania. But in the field of services we offer, I think the problem is that many business directors still haven't trusted digitalization, they are somewhat skeptical, and what we need to do is educate these leaders about the services we offer and why they are essential in this era. For us, Albania has been and will be a country where we will be present, even with fewer clients or projects. Our desire is to contribute to the transformation of businesses in Albania. Interest is growing every day as many young people are starting businesses and have more knowledge and confidence in digital marketing.
Your company has also received many awards.
I believe sustainability, quality, and vision are what have made us stand out in the market. The company's goal has always been to offer technical support to clients very quickly, and that's how we gained the trust of our clients. Also, all projects have been delivered on time and with high quality both in terms of design and development.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I think I will still be part of this industry and contribute even more to developments and projects that bring flexibility for different communities, as well as economic development. Together with Postjer Group, I will try to create systems that every business or corporation needs and be the most important link in the entire process, from our client to the end client.
