IMAA – Innovation Management Academy Albania, powered by EU for Innovation as an activity since May 2020, has successfully implemented the 5th edition tailored for Corporates intrapreneurs in the hybrid format from May 9-12th, 2022 at Protik ICT Center, in Tirana. 

IMAA 5 has been carefully planned and tailor-made to fit the needs of the NOA SHA team who were part of the innovation journey and ecosystem in Albania, thus helping them build their innovation capabilities within. The right mindset combined with the proper set of tools will help your company embrace and manage innovation.

IMAA is a unique educational format that incorporates lectures, training, and workshops to build your organization’s capability to manage innovation. It's boot-camp has successfully been provided to all the NOA Sh.A team the opportunity to learn why they should innovate, what they could innovate, and then how to do that, from some of the best regional and international experts in that field.

IMAA is well known in the local innovation ecosystem especially when it comes to securing human assets and building a portfolio of experts. They would in time help bring the overarching goal of empowering know-how and scale-up capacities into the Albanian market to fruition.

Also, IMAA’s second pillar is to make the Albanian Market aware of the first unique platform in providing better access to new job opportunities in the ICT sector and innovative products/ services (intermediations process) though providing;

  • A talent acquisition matchmaking process (focusing on how a company intends to position itself as an attractive destination and how it plans to source, assess, employ, and bring on board the young generations to respond to the market employment needs in Albania in the ICT sector;
  • Providing soft skills training to fulfill the students' & ICT Companies' gaps and challenges in 12 soft skills modules

IMAAs’ program is very important in order to survive and thrive, especially in times of great crisis like the one we all witnessed this year, companies cannot remain impartial to the change, but rather embrace it and initiate it. That is why this program will be carefully planned and tailor-made to fit the needs of corporates who are part of the innovation ecosystem in Albania, thus helping them build their innovation capabilities within.

That brings us to the concept of intrapreneurship. The best way to become more innovative is by creating a more entrepreneurial culture. When an organization does this, it is referred to as intrapreneurship. Intrapreneurship is simply entrepreneurship in an existing organization.

In many ways, intrapreneurship is easier for an individual than entrepreneurship because it has the support of an existing organization. However, there are both facilitators and barriers to intrapreneurship.  Together, IMAA and NOA Sh.A Team learned, developed, and experienced an innovation journey in 4 days on how to create an innovative organizational culture that advances intrapreneurship.
