Start-up City is here: Your business idea could be valued at 2500 euros

If you are a student and have a business idea, as an individual, or as a team, this is the right moment. Start-Up City has opened applications in its fourth edition! A unique initiative for empowerment and application of business ideas by pupils and students, Start-Up City comes as a joint organization of the Metropolitan University of Tirana, Metropolitan Incubator, and the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana. 

The best idea will be evaluated at a price of 2500 euros supported by the Metropolitan Incubator for its implementation in the market. Prizes are also reserved for the second-best idea, which is rewarded with 1000 euros, the third idea with the provision of mentoring and incubation in the Metropolitan Incubator. Also for the winner of the "Individual Entrepreneur" award, a full scholarship is offered at the Metropolitan University of Tirana. There will also be winners in the "Best Pitch" and "Best Woman Entrepreneur" categories.

This year's innovation is the cooperation with the EU for Innovation and World Business Angels Forum Albania - WBAF Albania, which opens the doors to a wide range of multilateral opportunities for new Albanian businesses, scalable and high growth to engage with markets global and foreign investors. For all of you who are interested, an informative session for Start-Up City 4 will be organized on April 14, at 14:00, which can be followed at the premises of the Metropolitan University of Tirana or online here.

Over the past three editions of Start-Up City have participated more than 500 young people, over 80 business ideas have been presented, with the following winners over the years: "Concept Marketing Albania", "T-Bot" or "Romix" which already operate successfully in the market. The Start-Up City jury has been composed over the years of well-known names of entrepreneurship, policy-making, academia, and organizations, such as the former Minister of Entrepreneurship Eduard Shalsi, the President of the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nikolin Jaka, the General Secretary of the Chamber International Trade Ardita Seknaj, President of Metropolitan University of Tirana Arjan Çukaj, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics-UT Alban Korbi, CEO of Sigal Pension Elvis Ponari, etc.
