The Albanian capital is currently overcrowded with foreign tourists, who have turned Albania into the main tourist destination in the Balkans for the year 2023.
"What I like the most is the joy that people here reflect. Everyone is very kind. My daughter worked in the Church here for a year. She had a dream to return to Albania, and we came. My daughter told me that after 10 years, Albania has changed a lot. We were in Ksamil, and it was very beautiful. The more tourists come, the better it is for your country, as there are also jobs," expresses one tourist.
"I come from the USA. It's my first time here in Albania, and I really like the history and culture of the country," says another tourist.
"Today is my first day here. So far, it looks beautiful," adds a French tourist.
"It's my first time in Albania. Tirana seems like a very pleasant city to me," says a tourist from Brazil.
Various groups of tourists can be seen visiting the historical and cultural areas of Tirana. What stands out is that among them are groups of young people. The beautiful nature, history, culture, and undoubtedly the food are what attract tourists to come to Albania. As of January, 5.1 million visitors have entered, of which 1.7 million in the month of July. The year 2023 is expected to close with 9 million visitors.
