The National Cybersecurity Authority of Albania (AKSK) successfully concluded the Western Balkan Cyber Camp 2025, a three-day camp that brought together 60 young participants from six Western Balkan countries. The camp aimed to develop their technical and strategic skills in the field of cybersecurity.

This unique initiative served as a platform for knowledge and experience exchange, fostering regional cooperation and building long-term connections among youth with shared interests in digital security.

During the camp, participants engaged in intensive training, hands-on challenges, and mentoring sessions led by industry experts. The program also included high-level panel discussions, practical sessions, and competitive exercises designed to shape the next generation of cybersecurity leaders.

One of the participants, Selma Salman from Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasized that the camp was a great opportunity to enhance her skills and share experiences with peers from the region, forming valuable connections for her professional future.

The Deputy Director of AKSK, Ms. Floreta Faber, highlighted the importance of international relations in the field of cybersecurity and the special value of close ties between countries in the region. She emphasized that this camp—organized for the second consecutive year by AKSK—offers young people not only professional development opportunities but also the chance to build lasting bonds with one another.

The Western Balkan Cyber Camp 2025 reaffirms AKSK’s commitment to supporting the growth of young talent and strengthening international cooperation in the region. It contributes to the creation of a community of experts prepared to face complex digital security challenges and protect the region’s critical infrastructure.
