Wizz Air, the leading airline in the country with over 50% market share, is launching a transformative initiative for Albanian youth—the Wizz Air Pilot Academy (WAPA). For the first time ever, aspiring pilots in Albania, both at home and abroad, have a unique and accessible path to the skies through this groundbreaking program.
With a strong commitment to empowering aspiring Albanian pilots, Wizz Air offers the chance to turn the dream of becoming a professional airline pilot into reality. The WAPA program is designed to break financial barriers by offering affordable payment options for Albanian citizens—requiring just an initial payment of €3,950, a reduction of more than 70% compared to standard WAPA terms.
Kastrati Group will offer scholarships in support of young Albanians who wish to pursue their careers at the Wizz Air Pilot Academy. This support comes within the framework of the “Kastrati for Education” program, a program dedicated to the development of education in the country.
During the press conference, Sokol Kreci, representative of the Kastrati Group, said: “We are proud to include scholarships for young Albanian pilots in our ‘Kastrati for Education’ program. By offering world-class training at affordable terms, Wizz Air is helping to build a robust aviation future, enhancing the nation’s economic prospects and aligning with Albania’s long-term strategy for industry growth.
Participants of the program will benefit from top-tier pilot education, gaining the skills to become a Wizz Air First Officer within 18-21 months. After completing the training, cadets will enter a fast-track career path, with the program guaranteeing successful graduates the opportunity to join Wizz Air as professional pilots.
