Wizz Air today announced its sponsorship of the Tirana Marathon 2026, taking place on 25 October. As the event celebrates its tenth edition, Wizz Air will join one of the capital’s major sporting occasions for the first time, further strengthening the airline’s support for sport and active communities in Albania.
Wizz Air has a long-standing connection with running events across Europe, supporting races that bring people together and encourage active lifestyles. Its portfolio consists of nine other races across Europe, promoting active lifestyle across its entire network. By partnering with the Tirana Marathon for the first time, Wizz Air is bringing this tradition to Albania and adding Tirana to the growing community of running events supported by the airline across its network.
Each year, the Tirana Marathon brings together thousands of runners, supporters and volunteers, transforming the streets of the capital into a celebration of movement, determination and shared achievement.
